Cemetery

The Town of Stockport has taken over the most northern cemetery on Rt. 9, (just before the town of Stockport/Town of Stuyvesant line).

COSTS:

Grave purchase: $750.00

Burial: $350.00

Cremation Burial: $150.00

Grave digger is the responsibility of the funeral director or family.

Winter burials, plowing is the responsibility of the funeral director or family.

STOCKPORT CEMETERY REGULATIONS

THERE WILL NO ITEMS, SUCH AS PLASTIC FLOWERS, SOLAR LIGHTS, KNICK KNACKS, ETC. PLACED IN THE GROUND AROUND HEADSTONES UNLESS A STURDY BORDER IS MADE OR PLACED AROUND ITEMS, (A FLOWER POT, URN, ETC.). THEY CAN BE CEMENT OR METAL. NO GLASS OR PLASTIC ITEMS.

ITEMS THAT DO NOT COMPLY WILL BE REMOVED.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE FLAGS TO STAY PERMANENTLY AT THE GRAVE SITE, THEY MUST BE PLACED IN A METAL FLAG HOLDER.

THERE WILL BE NO FLOWERS PLANTED IN THE GROUND UNLESS THE AREA IS BORDERED OFF WITH A CEMENT GARDEN BORDER. IF THERE IS NO BORDER, WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANTS BEING MOWED OVER OR TRIMMED DOWN.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE REMOVED BY THE END OF OCTOBER OR THEY WILL BE DISCARDED. WINTER ITEMS MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE APRIL 1ST.

THIS WILL HELP US KEEP THE CEMETERY NEAT AND CLEAN.
