DO NOT leave your pet in a vehicle during extreme cold or heat!
Keep your pet freshly watered and provide shelter from the elements!
Remember, if you see something, say something!
If you are unable to reach our Police Department during off hours, please call 911, you could save a life!
Please Note that it is a violation of Section 49-1.1 of the Stockport Code to shelter or harbor an unlicensed dog.
All dogs over the age of four (4) months must be licensed every year.
To license your dog, please come in to the Stockport Town Hall. Renewals may be done by mail.
A current Rabies vaccine must be given before a new license can be issued or an existing license can be renewed.
It not only protects your pet, but also any person that comes in contact with your dog.
Rules and regulations include, but are not limited to:
- Leash Law
- Requiring persons to carry suitable device while walking their dog for cleanup purposes
- Cause damage or destruction to public and private property
